Just think, at one time the P-26 was our MAINLINE fighter aircraft (abeit short-lived as aero-progress in those days moved by leaps & bounds)
ReplyDeleteYeah... can you imagine us going to war with the Luftwaffe with the P-26 as our main fighter? Flying P-40s against Zeros was bad enough...
DeleteThat Peashooter (love the name) looks similar to a plane that was at the airshow at Shepphard a few years back. But I don't know my planes that well.
