What's For Dinner, Buck?

If you think you've seen this movie before... well, you have.  We're doin' almost exactly the same thing we did in our first BLT post, so just call this the sequel, mmm-kay?

In the beginning

Near the end

Dinner is served!

Our sides were a bowl of Kettle brand sea salt chips and three Claussen dill spears; our beverage was an Anchor Steam beer... which we began drinkin' during the build process.  Boy, I sure do love me some BLTs!

And now it's out to the verandah for After Dinner Whiskey Hour, to be followed by the Beloved Wings playin' the Hated Avalanche, in Denver.  Life's pretty good at the moment.

    1. That there was a good game last night. Gus let in a couple o' softies but he looked GREAT, on the whole. And Franzen was on his game, too. Another heart-breaker for the tigers... (sigh).

  4. LUV your "man food" Buck. Once again proving that we're brothers from a different Mother.. Let me suggest "Plan B": Take Brots, grill/braze them, add Claussenson's Sauerkraut, a thick slice of sharp cheddar cheese, lots of yellow mustard,, good German dark-brown Pumpernickel Bread,, German red-potato salad--all washed down with a good German dark beer of one's choice.... MAN-CAVE HEAVEN!!!!

    1. No "yellow mustard" in THIS house, Virgil. I have five different kinds of mustard... Colman's, two flavors of Dijon (one domestic and one French), and two German varieties... but nothing with a red banner on the label. That said... I do my brats in the frying pan, liberally smothered in Claussen's sauerkraut and a bottle o' dark beer after I brown the brats. Simmer until the beer's gone...

If you do the German potato salad you're more of a cook than you let on.

    2. Oh I've got all of those mustards plus Zatarian's Creole Mustard and a bottle of spicy brown from WM to boot, but they usually go mainly on my cheeses and/or sandwiches for snacks. For some reason I like nothing but the yellow with grilled brats..Of course when I fix 'rm they way you fix 'em (I alternate) I don't ruin them with any mustard at all, but do then use the Creole stuff on the cheese hunks..

  5. BLTs always look so good but I just don't like tomatoes. Slimy and all those seeds - ick. That said - it does look like a yummy meal Buck!
