Saturday, Or...

... why I'd NEVER buy a fucking Toyota.

Everythang is wrong about that ad.  EVERY-freakin'-THANG.

  1. The ad is directed toward a new generation - those that drive minivans - hipsters. And the ad is rather obnoxious, but I love my new Camry. And I love my old Camry.

  4. If you play this backwards it says "Cadillacs are Satan." Heh. And I confess, we have owned quite a few Toyotas. Those included: (1)a new '76 Corolla SR5 lift back that had the most fun 5 speed I've ever shifted, and (2) a '78 Celica that was pretty cool too. The new Toyotas do seem a little vanilla but America seems to like that flavor. The ad though, is weird in many ways. Many "Mother Father" ways.

    1. Heh, I was going to add that, but I didn't want to guild the lily, lol. Good to hear from you, Curtis. Hope all is well...just not the same w.o. the old crew mixing it up at daily Lex's place--I think of Lex, you and the others almost daily..

  8. Gotta agree with you Buck..........the commercial, well, it just plain sucks!! But, I also owned two Toyota's, a 78 Celica and 1979 Supra, both just kept on running well over 250,000 miles with TLC, before I sold them both to a couple of high school kids who just loved them. Oil consumption at those miles was very minimal and neither one hardly leaked at all.

I'm thinking that him squeezing the nipple towards the end is obscene. OK, maybe I'm kidding...

  11. I've had a problem with Toyota ads for a long time now. Something about every one of them just isn't right. I'm glad to hear someone else say so, too.
