Off the Grid

Today's a travel day.  Tomorrow will be, too... and we'll be viewing life on or through a different sorta screen for the next couple o' few as a result.  Y'all be good and don't break anythang while I'm gone.

  1. It's in Texas. See how wide the right-of-way is, and that wide shoulder :)
But not every road in Texas gets an 80 mph speed rating :(

  3. Buck, have a safe and enjoyable trip. Also, do a little preparation...get yourself ready for some hockey pain, cause the Preds are gonna barbeque your Wings. :-)

    1. BBQ is in the realm of possibilities, given the way the Wings have been playin' for the past two weeks. But the playoffs are a whole nuther thang and the Wings have a habit of showin' up come playoff time. We also had a habit of making first-round exits lately... so there's that.

      We shall see.

  4. You should be back in Portales by now.

Glad you made it back. I'm pissed that you didn't take an 8 hour detour to come visit us.

    Really, I am.

Of course, you couldn't take a 2 minute turn off of I-20 on you way to the fabrulous motel in Monroe, LA to see us either a while back, so why should I be pissed??????

Not that I hold any hard feelings about it or anything...

    ;)

Very interesting trip, my virtual friend! You still got it!

You're not gonna let me forget that, are ya? ;-)

You may or may NOT be pleased to know I learned a lesson from last summer and stopped off in OK to see friends on the return leg. They were on my route (more or less), whereas a trip to LA would have meant 21 hours on the return trip vice 12. I did the math. ;-)

  5. HATE typos...should read, "on your way." Not "on you way."

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
