If a lifetime can be likened to a day, then this is Happy Hour!
Could be, but the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
It's fascinating watching this unfold and a good lesson for future elections. With the wisdom of hindsight, we see Newt's (intentional or not) strategy of "outlast everyone else who has a decent shot whose name does not rhyme with Zitt Zomney" was a sure-fire thing all along...the only vestigial uncertainty it EVER had was with the first word, "outlast." And there never was much uncertainty there. What happened to Cain could not have happened to Gingrich. A sex scandal is a lot like the stuff in the cans you use to clean your keyboards...packs a mean punch at first...once it's spent it's spent.I do have to 'fess up that I'm paying much closer attention to things now, than I ever would have had my favored candidates not been eliminated in the very first round (which I notice they are every single year).
...my favored candidates not been eliminated in the very first round (which I notice they are every single year).Doesn't that tell ya sumthin'? ;-)
Yeah. It does. "The Power Behind teh Throne" is not too fond of the smaller-government agenda...either that...or Teh People are not.Either way, the "if ya can't lick 'em, join 'em" spirit eludes me. Glad the Christmas spirit does not!
Just be polite... that's all I ask.
