One Learns the Strangest Things On These Inter-Tubes

As in: smoking can make a woman's nipples fall off.  Seriously:
I cringe every time I see a patient for a breast lift who is a smoker. I’m deathly afraid that despite my warnings, she will smoke before or after surgery and cause her nipples to turn black and fall off.

Yes. Smokers who undergo breast lifts are at great risk of losing their nipples.

I’ve seen it before.

The nicotine in cigarettes and the carbon monoxide contained in cigarette smoke can diminish blood flow to various parts of the body. These toxins act as a virtual tourniquet. If the blood flow to a particular body part becomes greatly reduced or halted, that body part dies.
That would be cosmetic surgeon Anthony Youn speaking.  It follows that smoking might could be responsible for premature penis death, too.  Not that we'd know anythang about THAT, of course.

  1. Oh Buck, please tell me that you did not elect for the ever-risky dick-lift when you were still smoking?!? I've heard that it is even more detrimental than your membership in Portale's Polar Bear Club for that sort of outcome. Speaking of which, did you go dunk with them last night? My water pipes had already frozen solid by then.

  2. My friend, Barb, had breast reduction surgery a few years ago. While painting with the Ladies, Barb informed us that one of her sutures was sticking out of her nipple. The other ladies were horrified when I asked to see it. Barb showed me. Fascinating.

  3. Lin: Nope. No dick lift here, other than what happens naturally. Dang... I'm sorry about your pipes. My water has been flowing freely even though we spent a lot o' time in the single digits lately.

Lou: Why were the women shocked? I would have asked the same question, were I you (and female).

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
