Cheesy Videos XXIII

It's been a while since we got the Mino HD out and recorded a Cheesy Video for your entertainment and/or enlightenment, Gentle Reader.  But!  Wait no more!  Here it is... new and mebbe improved!

Or mebbe not so improved.  We're still All Cheesy, all the time.  Watch in HD if'n ya have the bandwidth.

So now it'll be football until around 1700 hrs (with the teevee's volume turned up an extra six clicks to overcome the wind noise), at which time we'll turn to Center Ice to see if the Woeful Wings can snap their SIX GAME LOSING STREAK.  Aiiieee.

  1. Was I imagining things, or was the roof of your carport doing a little hippy hippy shake?

  2. The carport DOES move around a bit in the wind, which is a cause for some concern on my part. Good eye, Inno.

  3. That's some serious business. And yeah, I miss living out that way.

  4. Great sound! Maybe there would be some way you could link it to your scary Halloween photo next year. :-)

Hmm, it's the Italian plural for either "head butts" or "quick visits" - definitely the latter, here.

  5. Tossed! That is some loud stuff! Did it whistle that much at The beautiful La Hacienda?

  6. Tossed? Stupid autocorrect. Read that, "Yowsers!"

  7. I'm suprised those little trees survived all that wind.

    Thanks for sharing your video.

  8. Sounds like we are trapped in a Wizard of Oz movie. Wow.

  9. That much wind noise would drive me insane! Do you think you might need some weather stripping around the windows or doors or somethin'?

I once lived in a house where my bedroom window would make a mooing sound when high winds hit it just right. It sounded like just like an unhappy cow...weird and impossible to sleep on a windy night.

  10. What? No haboob to show your fans?

  11. We had a mighty wind like that last night and today the Student Government from the local high school came calling with rakes. God they were lovely girls. And the rakes were pretty nice looking too.

  12. We had the same wind here and it was a cold wind - odd because it was a south wind. Since we were working in and out of the house, it was a bit miserable. Trying to carry in an 8'x4' sheet of ply-board was difficult.

  13. ...at which time we'll turn to Center Ice to see if the Woeful Wings can snap their SIX GAME LOSING STREAK. Aiiieee. I wondered how long it was going to take you to comment on that. And to get beat by my Flames? Aiieee is right.

  14. I looked at the score and they were up 3-0... I decided not to say anything because I was determined not to jinx it. The outcome of the only game on the tube here was not quite so wonderful... Sharks lost in OT.

  15. Gads! Sounds like a "report from the igloo" in North to Alaska! And along with MoogieP: How well did your Casa de Movile take such wx?

  16. Hey Buck - Did you get any snow with that wind? Here is Santa Fe the wind was howling too, accompanied by almost blizzard-like snow. Quite a weather day!

  17. Andy: That WAS some serious wind. I saw on the teevee where we had 55 mph gusts. It's nicer today.

Bec: I suppose there's a way to capture sound off of video but I'm not too sure I'm motivated enough to learn how...

Moogie: I thought "Tossed!" was kinda cool, myself. ;-) ECMdP would rock 'n' roll in winds like those, but there weren't any shrieking sounds.

ss: Those lil trees are apparently tougher than they look.

    Kris: Or a horror movie.

Red: The noise WAS a bit bothersome, but nothing a loud stereo couldn't handle.

cladd: If you look at the upper right corner of the vid you'll see blue sky; the rest of the sky is dun colored. Not QUITE a haboob but close.

Curtis: There's a silver lining in nearly every cloud, eh?

Lou: I wouldn't even have ATTEMPTED to carry sheets of plywood in that wind.

Deb: Kipper was sharp and ALL the bounces went your way in that game. We'll recover.

Skip: Last night's game was pretty gratifying compared to the last week and a half.

Virgil: ECMdP was somewhat noisy in high wind but not anything CLOSE to this place.

Sharon: No snow here. The wind was warm, actually.

  18. Between the MVD, the wind, and The Wings, you haven't been having a grand old time of it lately. I feel for you, on all counts. I hate the MA version of the MVD, I am not fond of high winds, and (until the last couple of games, and maybe tonight since they're playing the woeful Isles) the B's hadn't exactly been playing as though they meant to defend their title so much as abdicate.

  19. Thanks for the commiseration, Jim. As far as hockey goes... it's still early days. Both your B's and my Wings still have time to make it right... but not MUCH time.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
