The Answer...

... to a question one of you Gentle Readers asked a couple o' weeks ago, to wit: "Where are ya gonna put the flamingos?"  Well...

There goes the neighborhood.

Updated, 1630 hrs:  The birds wandered off into the weeds.

I suppose flamingos are flighty thangs that like their privacy.  See the comments.

  1. Wow, they look great! Did it take you a long time to decide where to put them?

  2. LOL, I did ask that question, but figured it went unanswered due to being a silly question.

They look great there. It adds the right touch of whimsy and color to the brown, tan and white.

I wonder if you'll start a trend. THAT would be really cool. lol.

  3. Ivan & Lou: I had to move 'em as they kept falling over and I couldn't drive their spindly lil legs deep enough into the rock-hard ground. They're now resting comfortably amid the spindly, spiky plants the landscapers installed. Another pic will follow tomorrow. Mebbe.

  4. Anon: I wish I could've made 'em work where they were. I liked 'em by the door.

  5. Now all you need is a wringer type washing machine on the front porch to make it complete!!!!

  6. I had a wringer washer in my past... twice. And I used them, too.

  7. I actually like the flamingos hiding in the spiky plants -- the color pop of pink & green. I suppose you could get a potted plant to put by the door and stick the flamingos in the planter. A plastic potted plant, of course, because you don't need to mess with watering a live plant...and they are plastic flamingos.

  8. I'm with Red. The spiky plants give them a sense of mystery.

I've been telling my DIL that I'm gonna buy a potted palm for the verandah. I'm pretty serious about that, too. Is senility setting in?

Lou: Flamingos ARE pretty mysterious creatures, aren't they?

    Kris: Thanks. I think. ;-)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
