And we're dog lovers, too. Good Jumpin' Jehoshaphat... "German Chepper?" REALLY? The mind boggles sometimes. This Googler was from Texas, Gentle Reader, so it's not as if some ESL denizen of the Third World came around lookin' for cheppers.
Wait. It was El Paso.
Never mind.
I think if someone called my Niki-dog a 'chepper' she'd have to bite them! She's kind of sensitive that way.
ReplyDeleteAfter living in McAllen, Toby and I would mispronounce all sorts of words - making fun of the locals, but then it became kind of normal - like saying, "Would you rub my cholders?" etc.

Deb: I think if someone called my Fritzi that I'd bit 'em.
ReplyDeleteLou: I mispronounce a lot o' words on purpose. Same with misspellings, but you prolly noticed that.
And mixed with a colly. Sounds like a Christmas carol.
ReplyDeleteYet another fine product of modern day public schools!
ReplyDeleteMoogie: SN3 had a lot of colly as a baby. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBR: Yup!
