Just A Quickie

Arrived.  Safe.  Not so sound, though, from a sore ass perspective.  More to follow.

  2. Glad you are there safely and that you reported like a good boy. I hear beer is good for the butt - actually it makes the butt bigger, but then that might work too. Have a great time.

  3. Buck, are you sure you weren't driving a Formula I Ferrari? Enjoy your visit.

  5. Woo Hoo - that's a long trip in just 2 days. Glad you are safe and sound (sore butt notwithstanding - Lou has it right - put beer on it).

Looking forward to pictures of the event!

    WV: unbumm (I'm not kidding)

  7. As others have noted, that is a LONG roll in two days. Glad y'all held it between the ditches.

As per an earlier discussion, I would be interested to get a "breathing report" from the humid (yet lower altitude) South.

  9. Whew! Excellent time -- mach 1 or better?

Beer is good for a numb bum, but so are gin and scotch, ingested, not applied topically.

    Have a fabulous time!!!

v/w: boxtron. Do you suppose the Gooble is prescribing Botox to be administered by a robot?

  10. Well, we DID make good time. As did DIL Erma, who was behind me by about two hours all the way. We did put a few beers back last evening, which helped with the sore butt.

Buck had a couple of friends over last night; they were celebrating the successful completion of the Wing's ORI. The interesting thing was that the two guys Buck had over were from the inspection team... they were buds from a previous AF life. It also appears the AF can still knock back a prodigious amount of beer and get up and go to work the next day, albeit with a slight list to port. I'm proud of 'em.

Andy: As for the change in elevation and my breathing... I haven't noticed any difference at all.
