Is that true or WHAT?

  1. Yeah, that about sums it up. The sad part is that I don't really know if they realize how true it is.

  3. On one hand, I'd love to see them fall on this sword and pay the price in Nov. On the other hand, I'm scared sh!tle$$ they'll get this abomination passed and we'll have a heck of a time getting rid of it.

  4. I think you might like reading this blog posting from The Conservative Table. I found it to be rather informative... as a Libertarian!! ;0)

You might also find this article of theirs interesting... at least it had Old Iron hootin' and hollarin' as well.

  6. Thanks for those links, KC. I should quote Mark Steyn more often. Next to you he's my favorite Canuckian. ;-)

Rude1: Your points are well taken. See what Steyn said in this space -- follow KC's first link.

  7. I was about to correct you.

KC's Steyn column hit the nail precisely on the head. It's just like depriving you of the right to own a gun and forcing you to call 911 for every little emergency. Actually, I was making this very same point early this morning.

It fundamentally changes the relationship between the government and the people it governs. With one bill. So passing it is quite quite so antithetical to the continuing survival of the democrat party after all.

Now if there's a big crowd of fellow countrymen around the donkey-with-dynamite, then, IMO, the cartoon still makes a lot of sense. What they seek to destroy is precisely the spirit that energized the revolution, and was supposed to be immortalized by it, 233 years ago.

  11. Morgan sez: Now if there's a big crowd of fellow countrymen around the donkey-with-dynamite, then, IMO, the cartoon still makes a lot of sense.

The whole frickin' COUNTRY is right beside the suicide bomber, which is precisely why it makes sense. The sub-plot is the fact we'll turn the bastards out if they pass this abomination, ergo suicide by legislation. This toon works on a number of levels.

  12. One one hand we get Health Care, on the other, we probably get rid of Reid, and the Majority of leftists in both Houses....

Half Empty, Half Full, and of course Obama and Company are Half Assed!

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
