Just Because...

Disregard the visuals... it's the MUSIC we're on about.


There are numerous versions of this tune floating around, but this one is arguably the best.  The video is mislabeled because this is NOT the Allman Brothers. It's Gregg Allman... alone, sans Bros... from his first solo album, 1973's Laid Back.  This version is the most soulful of 'em all... IMHO, of course.  YMMV, but you'd be wrong in this case.

    Dude, I remember when "The Allmans" did free concerts in Piedmont Park.

    Atlanta was a great place to live in those days (I took the paid relo train out in 1996.)

    Not so any more. Too freakin' big.

    I would not go back.

    LOVE that song; always have. Saw The Allmans in '75 and that was one of the highlights of the show.
