After Thinking Long and Hard...

... and even discussing the subject with SN1 a lil bit last night on the phone, I've decided "what the Hell... why not?" and will post yet another cheesy video. This time it's a trip through the car wash in Clovis this past Friday:

YouTube apparently doesn't recognize the format as HD. The video quality is MUCH poorer than the original... there's no pixelation whatsoever when viewed locally, i.e., direct from my videos folder to "play." All that said... I broke a promise, too. I said I wasn't going to sing, didn't I? Well... sometimes I just can't help myself, yanno?

  1. That is some fancy car wash. I thought you might have Jim Croce's "Working at the Car Wash Blues" playing.

  2. Ok, so my favorite part is a toss up between the colored foam, the bubbles going up the windshield while you are going past the dryers and the finale line - the only spoken words. I watched it 3 times, I can't decide :)!

Hey, I thought the quality was good but I don't have HD anything. Is it auto focus or were you having to focus? It seemed right on throughout.

I thought about dubbing Rose Royce as the sound track, but that was just too much work. ;-)

Besides that... nothing tops Mick and The Boys. All-purpose, all-occasion rock 'n' roll, yanno.

Ann: The Mino has minimal controls... and focus ain't on the menu. It (the Mino) really IS an impressive lil device, the auto-focus function being just one of its many marvels. I like it.

And thanks for the kind words!

  5. I was offered the opportunity to view in HD as part of the player? I tried it, the quality improved a lot...but my connection couldn't keep up and kept pausing to load.

Anyway...the unaminous verdict at this Pennington household is:

    WAY COOL!

Sean loved the track you selected! I loved the singing and Erm just couldn't quit smiling!

    You made our day!

  6. Buck, the soundtrack was excellent, and the video quality was great on my end. And I found it to be a far cry better than most of the drivel that passes for entertainment on TV these days.

  7. Skywind: Thanks!

Buck: I stand corrected... I didn't check the "options" out on the player, and you're right: HD is there. My connection kept up without pausing to buffer and the audio sounded better to me, as well.

And thanks: your comment made MY day!

BR: Thank you, Sir! Funny you should mention "entertainment" on teevee... mine's been off all day. And there's a reason for that! ;-)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
