Still Reading, Still Watching...

I slept in this morning…primarily because I can…but also because I was up until at least 0300 hrs, trying to read everything written about last night’s game (<=== this column in the LA Times is particularly good) as the articles and columns were filed and published during the wee small hours. And I’m still reading. Here are a few things worth passing on…

A cool little playoffs montage that ran at the close of last night’s Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Hockey Night In Canada broadcast, the Gold Standard of hockey coverage. There’s not footage of every team that competed in the playoffs (the Avs are conspicuously absent, for one), but you’ll see Rangers, Bruins, Habs, Flames, Flyers, Sharks, and Stars. And Red Wings and Penguins, too…lots of Wings and Pens. It’s pretty cool!

And then there’s this pic of Conn Smythe winner Zetterberg celebrating with his Honey… taken from the Swedish newspaper Afton Bladet:

And by the way… The Freep’s servers are getting hammered today. If you try and open the numerous photo galleries at their site all you get is “500 – Internal Server Error.” Jeez… I wonder why?
