If This is Saturday...

…it must be Portales FOOTBALL! We’re an hour away from THE game (ND – UofM), so I have a bit of time to put up a couple of pics and deliver my weekend greetings.

Today’s Pic(s): Two exposures of the same sunset. And the photos simply do NOT do justice to the reality. The mountains seemed to be literally on fire; would that I could capture the moment. Taken in Red River, NM. May 6, 2004.

I might be back later…

  1. How 'bout them Texas Aggies! Gig 'em!

Beautiful picture! I have seen the whole valley bathed in orange when the sunset was just right and the clouds were low. You are standing at the Rio Colorado cabins looking west. Those cabins have not changed much since I was a little girl. I have lots of stories about playing there. Jesse's best friend lived at the Rio CO. as her parents were the managers for years.

Then you might just have played with the ex-girlfriend, Lou. Now that I think about it, most likely not; there's too much difference (20 years or so) in your ages. The GF's parents went to the Rio Colorado cabins every summer when she was a girl, up until she was in her teens.

I read Army gave the Aggies quite a scare!

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
