Want!

Ooooh... shiny!

Preliminary and limited specs, from the ATS-V web page:

The car's made out of unobtainium, at least where YrHmblScrb is concerned, what with a predicted asking price around $60K.  We'll make do with The Tart and be happy about it, too.

  2. Ahh.... Cadillacs... nothing depreciates faster, unless it's a Kia. :)

    1. Ahem. Let me quote:

      1. Value- You can get a nicely equipped (no navigation or sunroof) BMW 328i with 230 HP for $43,660 (quoted directly from BMWUSA.com). Or a nicely equipped (no navigation or sunroof) Audi A6 with 250 HP for $44,100. Or a fully loaded (voice activated navigation, panoramic sunroof, 40 GB hard drive) Cadillac CTS with 307 HP for $43,880. The Cadillac has the most interior space and is the largest vehicle in this comparison. Dollar for dollar, the Cadillac is the best value, "bang for your buck" here. Cadillac wins.

      2. Depreciation- Audi has horrible depreciation. As soon as you drive out the dealership, you can drive across the street and sell it for about half at the next dealer. BMW has better depreciation but does not rank high in the value factor- $40,000 won't even get you leather- Leatherette is standard on 3, and 5 series. Cadillac has about the same depreciation rates as a BMW 3 or 5 series but ranks very high in the value factor. Cadillac wins.

      3. Style/Design- Audi updates or facelifts their models every 2 years so a 2007 model is already outdated and you won't have the latest model; yet another reason the depreciation rate is so high. BMW keeps their design longer but the "Bangle Butt" named after designer Chris Bangle rarely gets compliments. The design otherwise is boring and conservative but nothing bad can be said about it. The Cadillac on the otherhand is downright stunning in its design and execution. The interior design is SUPERIOR to that of the BMW. The Audi has the best interior quality but the Cadillac CTS ranks very close and its style can not be beaten. Cadillac wins.

      More here.

  3. Meh... only seats 4 or 5 people depending on whether it has a coupay or a saydan emblem on it... Toyota sells those for less...

    1. You could buy a van or a bus, too. They seat about ten and 40, respectively.

  5. Wait a year and buy used. Used ain't the same as it was many years ago, today the technology and maintenance ensures that there won't be too much difference for new except pricing.
    Barco.
