There Are Some Things In Life I Don't Understand

Like this:

"Meatless" MEATballs?  What's the point?  Not to flog dead draft animals or anything, but I'll bet what are in those bags are really tasty.  (/sarc)

  1. I just can't imagine eating meat that is meatless. It's one of the reasons I'd never survive as a vegetarian - I like meat. Period.

  2. My theory is, that vegans are not getting off the planet alive either...

    1. P.S. Those prices are outrageous! (officer prices)...

    2. I've never understood the whole "vegan" thing, e.g., who could possibly resist a big medium-rare New York steak? As for the prices... these items were in the "organic" case at Wally-World, which automajically adds 20% to the cost of anything and everything.

  3. But, you know, who would buy a bag of plain frozen balls?

    1. I've bought a bag of plain frozen balls. Srsly. Round ice cubes for a party...

    2. He said, "...balls?"

Ya can the real stuff at TJ's a whole lot cheaper.
That said, I still will only drive to Redding no more often than once a week ...if I can help it.
I have to be really desperate to go to Wally's.

    3. I have to be really desperate...

Some of us out here in flyover country don't have much choice.

    4. My experience with Wally's is the hamburger, milk, and pickles are all fine, but everything else is suspect. I often see TV dinners in the candy section, and you know damn well they put it back in the freezer 4 hours later...

Otherwise I pay the 20% more for stuff at other stores. I find myself shopping at dollar stores for soda pop now. You can usually get 2 liters for $1, even though I'm not supposed to have high-fructose anything anymore :-)

    5. @ Mouse: My Wally-World is pretty good. I've never seen anything I'd consider egregious there. Well, mebbe a couple o' BIG-assed cashiers, but other than that? Nada.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
