That would be our mustache: washed and waxed. There's this about that:
And then there's a this, just a few minutes ago:
The project is coming along, albeit much slower than we'd like. We also seem to be somewhat asymmetrical, with our left side growing faster than the right (there's NOTHING political there), which a good trimming might could fix. I like projects like this: stuff with minimal effort, something I can do in my sleep.

Project Update
Back in July I posted about starting a new project, to wit: "We've embarked on growing a "regimental" mustache, otherwise known as a "handlebar" (or we're tryin' to do so, at least)." This was our starting point:
This is where we are now:

Oh man don't do it in your sleep. When you wake up you'll have to avoid mirrors for months.
ReplyDeleteTrust me on this one.
What? Growing hair in yer sleep seems pretty easy to me!

Deletesomething I can do in my sleep,,,,,
Sleep.
Trimming.
BIg mistake.
OK. Got it!
DeleteI have symmetry issues, too.
ReplyDeleteBut, then my head isn't symmetrical, either, just big.
DeleteI don't know why.
There's nothin' there.
Heh on yer last! I have a big head, too. It's stuffed FULL of useless information and lyrics to rock 'n' roll songs.
DeleteIn a ten day period........from Missus ORPO...............When are you growing your mustache back?
ReplyDeleteYep.
When it is back to what it used to be a few years ago................results will be posted.
Perhaps when I am on The Verandah at Casa de Sharon y Glenn...............................
Just remember tho, with that handle-bar you'll have to practice the proper British Sgt Major clicked-heels w. open-handed palm-face salute! :)
ReplyDeleteI can only recall rendering ONE salute since I retired in 1985, so this won't be much of a problem. ;-)
DeleteI'm all for interesting facial hair. I've sported the goatee for most of the past five or six years and my sideburns have been unfashionably long since I first grew them back in the 70's.
ReplyDeleteI've worn my stache nearly all my life, except for very brief periods when I didn't... measured in weeks. Beards come and go, too.
