Yeah, it was like this:
Keep in mind this was early in the morning in ALL of those venues. And in Portales, too... where we may have been short on company but not on emotion. A hockey moment to remember.

I was watching it live too... thought about calling you, but thought you'd be asleep. I should have known you'd be watching.
ReplyDeleteRoger that, on yer last!
DeleteYeah, I thought about you too, Buck, worried about the 'ole Ticker. BTW, you DO remember the Blues are my second favorite team, don't you? ('Course your beloved Wings get the bronze in my fandom rank-order, so there's that.. :) )
ReplyDeleteI do remember yer hierarchy, Virgil. It's a good year for you, the Blues and 'Hawks might play in the Western Conference final, if one or the other gets past the Ducks.
DeleteIt's like there's this cool harmonic resonance, isn't it? - Oshie/Sochi
ReplyDelete(Say it three times real fast. . .)
But I still hate deciding ties with shootouts. . .
DeleteAgree with you on the shootouts. I like the NHL's playoff format: play overtime periods until someone wins.
DeleteI did the Oschie/Sochi thing three times fast and I sounded with a train. ;-)
Just checked, the gold medal game is also early on Sunday - 7:30am est. Oh boy...
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Olympic overtimes rules are in affect because of the short turnaround between games, especially the prelims.
tim
I HOPE the US is in that game.
