I Ask Myself This All the Time

Really.

  1. My theory is, that humans are meant to live for 40 years, and that genes play a role in longer life. But by living past 60, you are prone to death by more and more diseases, as all your organs slow down. If you aren't 40, get to living, and if you are over 40, do whatever you want because death is one bus stop away.

My doctor said if I quit drinking, smoking, and having sex with fat prostitutes, I can live to 70 easily, otherwise I will be dead in five years!
I'm thinking who wants to live to 70 that way! I mean I have a whole dime-bag of heroin and a 72 ounce steak in Amarillo on my bucket-list.

    1. I'm one year and two months away from 70 and I have to say these so-called Golden Years have been rather disappointing. OTOH, I suppose this beats the alternative.

    1. Sex with friends almost never works out the way you THINK it'll work out. Trust me on this.

  3. Buck................I laughed my ass off on your last comment..............due tell sometime..........especially, the "Trust me on this" part. Reminds me thirty years ago working with a retired Navy chief and I was his apprentice working on heavy road construction equipment. I learned very quickly when I heard that phrase, that bad shit, mojo, karma, whatever the hell its called, it wasn't going fun nor be pretty when it unfolded.

Ah, well you hadda be there. My lips are pretty much sealed on the subject, in public. Getting together over a couple o' beers is an entirely different story, though. You might want to keep that in mind. ;-)

    2. Turn 65 in March...and frankly, I am in better shape than I have been in 25 years or more...still drink a beer a day{at least} a glass of Drambuie on occasion, and some Irish Cream...smoke hand rolled cigars, when the weather permits, and just got back on the Motorcycle Kick, after a couple decades out of the saddle....1 grandson, another grandchild on the way, successful educated kids, wife still looks good, officiate 200 High School and College sporting events or so per year{Baseball, Basketball, and Football}....wife still looks good....Hell, If I don't make it to 70 it's not going to be because I stopped living and enjoying life just because I hit some roadblock called "old age"....I'm calling BS on those that think anything past 40 is a waste. Would I rather be 40? Sure, If I would know at that age, what I know now....otherwise I will ride this out until the tracks end. :)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
