Some friends of mine who grew up in Northern NM told me that they once went to Virgina (or some place like that) when they were young to visit relatives. Apparently they were so awed by the green grass that they kept rolling in it - having never seen that much soft grass in one area in NM. The East Coast relatives thought the NM kids were mighty strange.
Those huge trees and beautiful yards are impressive.
The last time I was Back East (three years ago?) **I** rolled around in the grass, too. And I was in my 60s. All this green is pretty damned intoxicating.
EVERYTHING is leafy compared to the hi-plains desert you inhabit you old facsimile of a Gila Monster (or is that Horned Frog? Or is it "Horney Toad"?--How about just plain "horney?" :) )

DeleteI would need a maid, butler, and gardener for all that :-) Beautiful home!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christiane. I'm with ya on the hired help... I'd need that, too. ;-)
DeleteYou definitely have that box checked!
ReplyDeleteYup. I AM blessed.
Delete(So are the kids.)
"Leafy, REALLY leafy"

I'll go with yer last, Virgil.
DeleteBeautiful area Buck. I can attest to the "really leafy" part in my area as well. It is most definitely - green - up here.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kris.
