Agreed, Buck. A great series indeed. Heart attack city! And if we ever needed any reminder, this last game proves the truth of the old saw that "It's not over 'til it's over!." IN SPADES!
But remember when the Blackhawks last won and you said that I'd better enjoy it because they wouldn't win again for AT LEAST a decade or more because of the team being exploded by salary-cap hell? It would seem the front office achieved a minor personnel shuffle miracle--that and several young players performing beyond expectations, agree? Because your comment at the time was NOT ill-considered. The Hawks somehow beat the odds As short gangster Rocky with the tall hat in the Bugs Bunny cartoons says to big oaf partner Mugsy: "I don't know how yuz done, it, but ya sure done it!"

Agreed. But the Hawks also kept their core from the 2010 run together... like Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Seabrook, and Keith... among the current 17 players who were there in 2010. It didn't hurt that Crawford turned out to be just as good as Rask, either. I think Crawford should have been the Smythe winner.
It was grand hockey, even though my team was on the excruciating losing end of it. I am, indeed, looking forward to a few good tussles between the B's and yer Wings next season. Have at it, varlet!
