A couple o' few days ago we indicated we'd get the results (today) of the indignities visited upon us in Lubbock last week, and so we did. We'll make a long story as short as possible: my biopsy was "benign," which is to say everythang is normal. Dr. V held out his hand at the conclusion of my appointment and said "Congratulations." As if **I** had anythang to do with it... or perhaps I did, in that we were about as positive as positive can get over the past few days. That, and the fact that I KNOW all y'all sent your best thoughts and prayers my way.
It worked.
That said... Jack, Ginger, and Eric speak for me:
Yes, we are... and we've knocked back a couple o' beers to celebrate.
Now it's off to make the blog-rounds which we haven't done, as yet.

Glad to hear the news!
ReplyDeleteGood news indeed. Congratulations! Knock back another one for me.
ReplyDeleteYeah... I didn't get around until late, either, because of the indignity of having the power shut off.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding news Buck!
ReplyDelete(Great tune by the way, from one of the best bands of all time. IMHO.)
Great to hear!! Never a doubt...
ReplyDeleteOT but I kinda sorta put up a tribute to you and your boys over at my place. If you read the post I reckon you'll figure out why. (Not that I'm pimping my own blog... Well, yes I am. No graceful way out of that is there?)
ReplyDeleteThanks for that, Sarge... ya made me blush. I dropped a comment at yer place about that.
DeleteIt's always so nice to hear that a prayer was answered in the affirmative. Congrats, Buck.
ReplyDelete(I was thinking, though, with the sorts of business that doc does, shaking hands with him might not be my idea of a good time.)
That's the best news I've had in a LONG time! *cheers*
ReplyDeleteWaiting out thise results is one of my least favorite things e-vah.
Sierra Hotel, Buck!!! "A couple" of beers????WTF!!! I'd be near comatose near the bottom of my fifth of Barbancourt by now, i.e., "Mass Quantities," lol. Of course with my luck I'd die of alcohol poisioning in my sleeep that night..otoh, it hasen't happened yet...As a friend of mine once said: "If I die of anything OTHER than liver disease my liver should be exhibited in the Smithsonian!" lol
ReplyDeleteThat was this afternoon, Virg. We dipped into the Bulleit pretty deep this evening. ;-)
DeleteThank you ALL for your kind words and thoughts. I appreciate them more than you can possibly know.
ReplyDeleteBah, they'll find you dead on the sofa with a cigar in the ashtray, an empty booze bottle, and a headband from a hippie you met at the truck-stop who promised you a trip around the world.
ReplyDeleteHeh. That might come to pass, but not for a good long time yet.
DeleteWell done, sir. That's one piece of you that you get to keep! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteMost excellent.
ReplyDeleteWell how 'bout that! That's some good news Buck.
ReplyDeleteGood news indeed - just in time for Thanksgiving. Lots to be thankful for.
ReplyDeleteGood news! Thanks for the update; good to know you'll be hangin' around a good while longer. . .
ReplyDeleteFan-damn-tastic news Buck!!! Good news from a doctor about something that could be serious - is such a welcome relief.
