It's been 11 years since the attacks that "changed everything," yet that day is a day none of us will ever forget... at least those of us who were ten years of age or older in 2001. It's right and proper to remember that terrible day and keep the innocents who lost their lives in our hearts and minds. It's right and proper to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the fight against the jihadis since that time, those who had their lives unalterably changed by wounds both physical and mental as a result of the fight, and those still serving.
Never. Ever. Forget.

DeleteIt's automatic to assume WE (the men and women still in the fight) won't forget...but alas, sometimes even our own fail to understand the significance and impact of one morning in September, 2001. On my 3rd deployment since 2008 and 4th since 9/11/2001 and I often think back to that morning when our world changed forever. We're still here, we're still fighting and we won't let up until it's over...
