From NWA... those ker-raaaazy animators...

Yanno what cracks me up about this lil vid?  They beat the hell outta Facebook and then end with a promo for their FACEBOOK page (Get animated... find out more on Facebook...).

  1. To steal YOUR comment patter...Apropos of nothing, I just happened to be walking through the bedroom while Pam was watching some Hollywood show. It seems that Zuck and his bride to be were trying so hard to keep their wedding under the radar that she flew to Denver to purchase her wedding gown.

She bought it under an assumed name. None of that seemed so odd to me. But, the Hollywood reporter quoted the price of the gown at $4500 (I think...coulda been $4200). I thought, "Wow! Just $4500? Heck, my baby brother's first ex-wife spent 2 grand on hers at a bridal shop in Bossier City for Heaven's sake! (and she was an LPN)" With money to burn, I'd have expected that the chick would have paid at least 2 or 3 times that. At least...

She seems to be the frugal sort (relatively speaking).

Pam and I talked about it, and she said, "NO! She's probably not frugal at all. She just bought the dress that she liked, and that she looked the best in. If that ONE had been $50,000 she'd have bought it. Girls are like that."

So...okay, that was a totally irrelevant comment. But, I warned you up front. So I don't feel bad about it.

    1. To continue with the irrelevancies... TSMP paid $20.00 for her wedding dress at a second-hand store. I got more than that for it at my Goin' Out o' Bid'niz Sale. True story..

  2. HA! 20 bucks???

If memory serves, Pam's folks paid $175 for hers. It was new, and she made it look good.

She loaned it to two other girls within the next few years. Those chicks got out cheap. Neither one of 'em did it justice, though.

    Just sayin'...

About a month ago she took it to a Dry Cleaning outfit to get it "archived," or some such thing. Maybe that's not the exact term, but it's when they clean it, and seal it up forever so that it won't deteriorate. Why? I DO NOT KNOW! I haven't heard from them that it's ready yet. But, I have a sneaking suspicion it's gonna be about as much to pick it up as it cost new.

    Sigh...

Cheap at twice the price. You can't put a monetary value on great memories.

  3. Yeah...that's what I figured. She's got some pie in the sky idea that one of the boys (or one of their wives...if they EVER find girls worth a rip to get married to) will want it after she croaks...pass it on to their chirrens, yada yada yada...

Probably won't happen. My sons should not marry, or reproduce.

    Just sayin'...

But, if it makes her happy, I'm down with it.

  4. I had Toby talk stocks and stuff to me this morning since I had not read anything about the FB fiasco. I managed to keep my eyes focused while he explained what is going on with FB and Chase, etc. I got it now. Then he ranted for a while about dirty, lyin', thievin', SOBs. I'd love to tell you what all he thinks of investment bankers, but it is just too much economics for me to remember.

    1. I pretty much agree with the dirty, lyin', thievin' bits. Anything else would be gravy.

  5. Hey! As a former broker at Merill Lynch and the old Dean Witter I resemble that remark! In fact, I highly represent it!

    1. The Second Mrs. Pennington worked for EF Hutton for a while. And yeah, I DID listen. Attentively.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
