Aren't ALL Movies Like This?

Yup.  Thangs are much better with s'plosions.  And lasers.  And a synth soundtrack.  Alternate title: "Why I don't watch."

From the Usual Saturday Source.

Update, in the spirit of full disclosure:  I watched "The Iron Lady" the other night (gotta love PPV), so I'm not down on ALL movies.  Meryl Streep was spectacular, the screen play was lacking.  "Lacking" is being very kind... "sucks" would be more descriptive but a lot less literary.  "The Iron Lady" is to Lady Thatcher's life as Big Bird is to ornithology.  I was seriously disappointed in this movie... but what's new about that?

  1. LOL I actually snorted while laughing when they jumped off the boat and blew up on impact. That was great!

  2. HA!!!

I might be the only living human that did not see Titanic (4 or 12 times) in the theater...or on DVD, either.

    Good find.

  4. I have seen Titanic - once. I was not impressed - especially since I knew what the ending would be.

  5. 4, I already knew the outcome.

  6. I'm beginning to think NO ONE (except Lou) saw that dumb-ass movie.

  7. I saw it, in the movie theater. And honestly, at great risk, I will admit that I did enjoy it. But I love costume dramas and Titanic filled that bill quite well. Beyond that - there was nothing beyond that.

    1. I think you'd call "T" a chick-flick, wouldn't ya?

  8. Buck - yes I do believe "T" qualifies as a chick flick. But I think you knew that already. ;-)

  9. "I'm not down on ALL movies"
Well, there you go. Refutation of what you've said for a long time.
So we can understand eachother better, please see "Ferris Buehler's Day Off," "Raising Arizona," "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," (pay attention when you hear The Cars accompaniment), and "Animal House." Those are hours I doubt you'll regret-- and we all need some of those.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
