I Know Some People Who Feel Like This

I might could be one of 'em... but there's that "executive experience" thang.

From the usual source.

  1. Paul Ryan is an eloquent spokesman for conservatism. He would destroy ObozO in a debate, and on the campaign trail. He (like most conservatives) does not need notes, or teleprompters...because it is "in him."

At the same time, I want us to have the very best Executive, too. This is an odd season. It is possible that we've got SO MANY candidates that are SO MUCH BETTER than this clown, that we don't even realize it.

As for now, I think I'm on board with Perry. Gotta hide and watch a while, though. If there is to be a draft (which I had envisioned before Perry got in), Ryan would suit me just fine.

    Heh! WV: grandgop

    It's a sign.

  2. Republicans definitely win in the good hair department. Clinton was the last good-haired Democrat, and look where it took him! He's now apparently a vegan.

Actually being in possession of a moral compass, however, should spare good-haired Republicans from the Clinton ignonimity.

Let's hope the Gooble knows, Andy!

  3. Christie might run now as well. Even though he has denied wanting to do so, there has been a big groundswell for him to run. Christie vs. Obama in a debate would be pay tv good. He has done a good job with NJ, isn't afraid to talk, and can articulate his views well.

He might be a little rough for people to think he would be a good President, but even so, after Obama, Donald Duck throwing a tantrum seems calm.

I would like to see them have some executive experience, but I would vote for a screw driver over Obama if the Republicans annointed one to run. I think if they get a good, conservative fiscally minded person to run who isn't a gaffe machine like Biden, the Republican should win. Looks like this Country is yet again ready for Change... and Hope. The hope this go around is that whoever it is couldn't possibly be as bad as we got now.

  4. I'd be satisfied with any of the above-mentioned. I'm leaning towards Perry at this point, with the understanding it's still early days. We'll see...

  5. So far the one I am least encouraged by is Romney. I understand that sometimes you just fall short, but Romney just seems like he would be another Dubya. While there were things he did that I agreed with, his "compassionate conservative" BS was just too liberal in practice. My biggest beef was his never seeing a spending bill he didn't like.

Romney with his healthcare system is a red flag. Plus, he wasn't good enough running against frikin' POS McLame. Why would he be any better now?

It's like Hall of Fame voting, a guy waits till he is on the last year to finally get in (after 15 some odd votes) and he is a HOF'er? He didn't do a thing to improve his stats, nor anything to improve his perception as one of the best of his era.

Why good enough on the last year of eligibility but not on the first or second?

Sometimes its because someone is just that much better, but the last election cycle it was McLame! RINO in extreme who still doesn't get it. That just doesn't cut it, and probably explains why Perry looks so darn good right now.

I would take Christy or Perry as my top choices of the moment.

  7. Anon: I share your POV about Romney. I think he's a hack.

    Ivan: Thanks for that. ;-)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
