Heh

From My Buddy Ed In Florida...

The Sierra Club and the U. S. Forest Service were presenting an alternative to the Wyoming ranchers for controlling the coyote population.
It seems that after years of the ranchers using the tried and true method of shooting or trapping the predators, the Sierra Club had a "more humane" solution to this issue.
What they were proposing was for the animals to be captured alive. The males would then be castrated and let loose again. This was ACTUALLY proposed by the Sierra Club and by the U. S. Forest Service.
All of the ranchers thought about this amazing idea for a couple of minutes.
Finally an old fellow wearing a big cowboy hat in the back of the conference room stood up, tipped his hat back and said,
"Son, I don't think you understand our problem here. These coyotes ain't fuckin' our sheep; they're eatin' 'em!"
The meeting never really got back to order.

Heh.  That was prolly Dick Cheney.

  2. Thanks for sharing...your blog provides some of the only laughs that I get during my working day...otherwise it's crying or banging my head on my desk. :-D

I just read your camera post. Now we'll prolly get some prize-winning pictures of your favorite brews and cigars? I'd love a spectacular sunset picture if you see one; sunsets in Iowa have been really blah for months. Have fun with the camera so we can enjoy the pictures. :-D

  3. We ALL need laughs, Red... and I'm glad I could help. As for upcoming pics... you'll prolly continue to see lotsa beer and cigars. But I have been known to post the occasional sunset shot. Sunrises, too. You can search the blog on either term and see some of those, but you'll get a lot of krep, too. ;-)

  4. I've seen that before and it is still funny. A friend of mine complained this morning that all five of her watermelons were gone from her garden - eaten by coyotes.

  5. Today was the first time I'd seen this. And who knew coyotes liked watermelon?
