America The Beautiful

As played by Keb Mo:

Two things: (1) there isn't a more appropriate day for this tune than today and (2)  there are few things in this life more sublime than the sound of a well-played National guitar.

  2. Really good work. Not being "up on things," I did not know of Keb Mo.

So, a little 'net cruising tells me that his politics suck, and I'm sure is a huge ObozO supporter (or at least was in '08). So, that means he is a retarded moron.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't so curious, and that the 'net wasn't so dang easy to use. But, he is a damn fine guitarist, and a decent singer to boot...and the video images are bitchin'!

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure those beach shots near, and at the end, are in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Pretty sure I recognize those condos, and that pier.

Hope your Independence Day was/is a great one, Buck!

  3. Brad: Thank ya, Sir!

Moogie: That's my understatement for the day. So far. ;-)

  4. Andy: Ya almost HAVE to keep music and politics separate and apart these days. Most of my favorite artists are screamin' moonbats but I STILL listen to them...

  5. No doubt, Buck, says the huge Joan Baez fan!

Like I said, sometimes I wish I was not so curious.

That was seriously some good stuff. For a retarded moron (wink).

  6. Heh. I'll see your Baez and raise ya a Neil Young, Jackson Browne, and a Linda Ronstadt. AND a Carlos Santana. ;-)

  7. Love love love this - strip down the song to its barest contents and turn it over to someone like Keb Mo. Sublime is indeed - the word Buck.

Glad you enjoyed; I know I did.

Dickie Betts, etc. "...them delta women think the world of me..."

I've been to the delta, and the women didn't think the world of me.

    I'm so depressed :-)
