Oh, My!

Houston, we may have found OUR 2012 presidential candidate.  Tim Pawlenty, quoted in Politics Daily:
- On life's simple pleasures: "I'm pro-beer and pro-hockey."

- On the best hockey player ever (next to Wayne Gretzky): "Gordy (sic) Howe: He was not just a finesse player, he was a scrapper and a fighter."
Heh.  I agree with a lot of his other points, as well... but not all of 'em.  RTWT.

Gee, can we have him in Canada? (and he is kinda cute)

  3. I have had an impossible time getting excited about the possibility of Governors Tim Pawlenty, Mitch Daniels, or Haley Barbour for president. Just me, I guess. I am picky, and I don't feel (right now anyway ) that they've got what it takes to go up against Barack Obama. Still looking ....

  4. Towanda, please be sure and add my Goober, Bobby Jindal to that list, too.

Actually, Barbour would be a fine President, but will probably never gain enough steam.

  5. Deb: Pawlenty is almost IN Canada! There is some dispute as to whether Minnesota is actually part of the US or just Canada's southern-most province.

Kris: I'll defer to your judgment on Pawlenty's hot-factor.

Sharon: I'll agree the conservative field is less than inspiring, but Pawlenty did GODD things in Minnie-sota. And I'd vote for him over certain other candidates who shall go unnamed.

Andy: Agreed on Barbour. Which is too bad.

  6. I do agree with you guys on Haley Barbour, sadly.

I actually like Bobby Jindal, but can't imagine enough voters who would think he has the gravitas for the job. Although, in my opinion, any of the above mentioned governors far exceed the current occupant of the White House for experience, smarts, proven record, and gravitas.

Unfortunately, being electable is the main difficulty in this electronic age....

  7. Sharon: Andy... a resident of the Pelican State... doesn't agree with you about Jindal and has promised us a post sometime in the future as to why. I'm gonna ping him about that from time to time. ;-)

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
