Blog Fodder

There was no sleeping in TODAY.  These guys got to work around 0945 hrs and they're jes a lil bit... umm... intrusive.

So... I step outside to take the pic and one of the tree dudes gets VERY defensive, as in "We notified the park owner yesterday that we'd be here today!"  "Well, yeah, OK"... sez I... "No worries, this is just blog fodder."  "Whut?" sez he.  I should have just said "Never mind" coz he still didn't geddit after at least six minutes of explanation.

Yup.  This Modern Age.

Added, 1300 hrs:   Did I say a LIL BIT intrusive?  Why, I think I did...

  4. Yeah, never mention "blog" unless you're talking to someone on-line. Too much explaining.

  5. You should have told him you were designing post cards. Asplundh does tree trimming service up here too. Didn't realize they were a national company.

  9. E-yikes! Heavy, heavy hangs over thy head . . . . Indoor Happy Hour today? Or so you plan to share with the Gesundheit Guy?

  10. Now that is one helluva invasion of personal space.

Asplundh is nationwide; we see them around here too.

  11. Indoor Happy Hour today?

Yup, but not because of tree-trimmers. We have a front moving in and the wind she is oppressive. That's too danged bad, too... as it's about 70 out.

Kris: It is, indeed. Especially when they get about ten inches off starboard.

  14. Whenever I was screwing up in school or at home the old man would tell me the world needs ditch diggers too. Luckily I straightened up but I'm going to lump in tree trimmers with them now. I'll bet tree dude had dead eyes and breathed through his mouth.

I hope they didn't take too much of your summer shade.

  15. I'm just glad they finally got around to it...those branches were getting a bit close last time I saw them!
The second pic was EXACTLY what I pictured after you first described the first tree trimming to me...great stuff!

  16. Buck, "etch-a-sketch." Nyuk!

Yeah, it was a pretty poor artist rendition. Then again, I flunked finger-paint in Kindergarten.

Close. Let's just say he was less than inquisitive. And your father and mine said the same sorta stuff!

Buck: I almost posted the same pic I used three or four years ago... It was basically the same drill.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
