... so far:
I saw only teeny-tiny bits of Vancouver's Green Men last night but what little I DID see made me laugh. OK, hats off to the Canucks fans that came up with this bit o' madness. Too cool. There's more on the Green Men at Puck Daddy.
By the way... last night's El-Eh - Vancouver game was magnificent, one of two great outings in the early going. LA lost to the Canucks in OT, just like the Caps lost to the Habs. BOTH games were superlative... the only difference being one team deserved to lose (the Caps) and the other most definitely didn't. I was rooting for LA (believe it or don't) and I think Drew Doughty is about as impressive a D-Man as there is in these playoffs. I also think both of these series are gonna go a lot longer than most people expected.
Yup. I want Doughty on the Avs. Like yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI'm pulling for LA in that one too, what with the Canucks division rivalry thing going on. Plus, the Avs have been demolished by the Canucks in all but one game this year, while the LA games have been better. And yes, that means I firmly expect to see my Avs go deep.
And yes, that means I firmly expect to see my Avs go deep.
ReplyDeleteThat means you're betting on yet another Fish collapse. Which isn't a BAD bet, yanno? But one of these days they're gonna make it out of the first round... ;-)
Collapse, flop, choke. So many ways to describe it.
ReplyDeleteYeah... it HAS to suck to be a Sharks fan. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteHabs Win! Habs Win! Ovechkin never got a shot on goal!
ReplyDeleteNashville 4-Chicago 1 at United Center. A lot closer than the score. The last two were into an empty net. But it is The Preds first road playoff win.
Going to be an interesting playoff this year, methinks.
And yes, it most likely sucks to be a Sharks fan.
Those Sharks fans are LAME. Bu, they have the three most important fans in the arena - the guys in the striped shirts. Last night was a tough one to take.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the green men!!!! Seriously LOVE them!!!
ReplyDeleteAh, Andy... what about that Sharks goal that was waved off due to goalie interference? And the resulting power play? Seems like the ref called that one in your favor... We all have reason to criticize the officiating; Lidstrom taking five stitches in his lip from a high stick Wednesday night with no penalty called (which would have given the Wings a five-on-three PP) immediately comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteGlenn: I saw a very little bit of the Chicago game and the outcome made my heart glad. I wanna see those guys play seven... obviously.
Moogie: Those guys ARE cool, no?
Hey,now! What's wrong with the Caps?
ReplyDelete(Just thinking I might have to start getting interested in hockey, now that the Redskins got Donovan McNabb. That may REALLY be the last straw.)
Hey,now! What's wrong with the Caps?
ReplyDeleteNothing... if you live in DeeSee. I'll give 'em the fact they had one helluva season and the President's Trophy is nothing to laugh at. But... they ARE the opposition and a likely opponent in the Stanley Cup Final if all goes to plan. Therefore I'm just gettin' my licks in early.
What's a McNabb? Is that some exotic disease? And what does it have to do with Indians... err, Native Americans? ;-)
