Funniest pic I've seen in a week or so...
NHL.com headline: "Crosby still optimistic about Canada's chances." I dunno though. Can't see how his team can stop the Lamoureux twins.
Don't go if you're Canadian and easily offended. This is some world-class snark.
:-)
ReplyDeleteDude! According to your weather widget, it's FREAKIN' cold where you are!
Still alive here. Hope you're making time to smoke a good cigar now and then.
Doc
Heh!! Notice that the fella in the grey hoodie behind him appears ready to kick his ass.
ReplyDeleteTHAT'S IT MISTER!!! BITCH SLAPPIN' TIME!!! hehehehe..
ReplyDeleteWe took Gold in Ice Dancin' - Silver to US... Russian Bronze.
Kinda funny looking at the countries LOL!!!!
@KC: I'm in love with Tessa Virtue. She's a sweetheart. And they absolutely deserved the gold, even if ice dancing is a poofy sport. :-)
ReplyDeleteAWESOMESAUCE!! It was a seamless performance ... deservedly winning Gold
ReplyDeleteOh dear God... That picture....
ReplyDelete-The stitches, I now have them.
Uncle Buck...had it not been for that game,i still wouldn't be over watchin' Ovechkin possess Jagr...gotta be the best hit in Olympic hockey history.
ReplyDeleteThat is the greatest picture on earth!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that horried disquis commenting engine is gone of my site. It casued more problems than it was worth.
Doc: Yeah, it's been a hard winter in these parts. But it hasn't affected our beer and cigar consumption! ;-)
ReplyDeleteBR: The dude in the USA shirt has big brass ones, don't he?
KC: All in good fun, M'Dear. ;-)
OI: Thanks, Bud!
Jay: I thought about posting the YouTube vid of that Ovie hit but never got around to it. Magnificent, that was... and Jagar calmly got up and continued skating while Russia scored...
RLM: Thanks for tossing that Disqus thing. It did sucketh.
That "What We Learned" article is, well, I'll call it the best (sports related) thing I have read in a long time. If I were Canadian and read that, I would be absolutely seething.
ReplyDeleteI'm not getting too comfortable over here yet. As they say in the business: There's still a lot of hockey yet to be played.
While I enjoyed the victory, I wouldn't bet against Canada in a rematch...
ReplyDeleteAndy: You're right about a lot o' hockey left. But as I've noted elsewhere, we have a much easier time of it going forward than our friends in The Great White Up. I don't think they'll make it by the Russians.
ReplyDeleteJim: I would. Just sayin'.
