I just might buy this: The Internet in Book Form. Coz if it's near as funny as its web site... well, look (click for larger):
Heh. "PornForGirlsByGirls." And then there's Bahoogle:
Update, 20 minutes later: I thought this looked familiar. Turns out I previously posted on the book/Bahoogle two and a half years ago. My Bad. My Bad memory. (sigh) Getting old sucks.
Update II, 1300 hrs: I can't begin to emphasize enough just how funny and creative the "Internet in Book Form" site is. I've spent hours... literally... reading the book reviews at "Amasszone.com," perusing Crackbook (heh), and laughing at the profiles posted on "poormatch.com." The latter were especially entertaining, given my forays into on-line dating in the way-back. Like this one:
On that Pron for Girls deal; I read that book 20 years ago. Oh yes, I did.(not really, but it is coming up on 19 years this Saturday)
ReplyDeleteLearn it. Know it. Live it. What ever She wants, and so forth.
Like meditation, it works.
To a point, Darryl. To a point. There are limits.
ReplyDelete"Anyone? (It's OK, you can think "Bueller?" if ya wanna.)"
ReplyDeleteROFL! I love me some Bueller.
And yes in answer to your question - allll the time
Alison: Good to know we are not alone! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThe on-line dating thing made me laugh. I have to admit that Jes and I have looked, but not paid money to join such stuff. I don't know what women normally write, but men write the same thing - hmm, as if they are all the same and want the same things. But the really funny part is their photos - I have seen some really horrible photos of men. Don't they know how to use a camera?
ReplyDeleteLou: Women generally write tripe and you're right about the men's photos. I read a few men's profiles early in the game to get a feel for what "the competition" looked like and wasn't impressed. My experiences with on-line dating weren't very good.
