So, I notice a bit less snow on the neighboring... driveway? Is that because someone pulled out during the snowfall, or is it because of some sort of heating element in the pavement, or... none of the above?
None of the above. We're hovering on the edge of freezing, so the snow falling on concrete tends to melt quicker than on the grass. It's still frickin' cold, tho. Blech.
A: Mo betta we'd stay in and down a few. Coz you can enjoy a cigar at El Casa Móvil De Pennington, something you can't do at the local. The anti-smoking PC-police have come to New Mexico.
When the weather tells you 2 days ahead of time you're going to get an around 16, 18, 20 inches -- to go on top of the snow you already have -- I just -- well -- yeah.
So, yeah, we have time to "prepare". Which has become more agonizing than the storm itself, I think.

ReplyDeleteI've snow envy actually! Wish I was there. We could hit your local and down some beers.

ReplyDeleteAnd panic ensues. (Sigh.)

"You're probably tiring of snow angst by now, aren't you, Gentle Reader?"
ReplyDeleteNah...but I am secretly reveling in the fact that I am not experiencing the same angst.
Hang in there, Buck!
"Snug as a bug in a rug," as my Mother used to say...
ReplyDeleteDo you play chess, Buck? Looks like you've got LOTS of time--just you and the computer. :)
Kath: Panic, indeed. I'm glad I'm not in your shoes this weekend. Come to think on it, I don't think I'd look too good in your shoes, ever. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBR: Today is bright and beautiful. All things come to he who waits. Sometimes.
VX: I gave up chess when SN2 began kicking my ass consistently when he was about six or seven. There's only SO much humiliation a man can stand.
