Not Often Seen

Today's WaPo (via Newseum):

The occasion is the Caps celebrating their 12th straight win... which is an achievement, indeed.  But as Greg Wyshynski notes (via a Tweet)... Hockey?  The front page?  Above the fold?  The WaPo?  Yowzers.

We all know hockey does make the front page of major newspapers in this country from time to time.  But that usually happens in June, not in February.

  1. The small boy is harassing me about going to another game. That child loves sports.

  2. Hockey should be on the front page,,,,,,,everywhere! And I am not watching the "big football game" tomorrow.

  3. You're blessed with a good minor league team, Daph. I'd be going a lot were I you. But you knew that.

Glenn: I'll probably watch the game tomorrow, if only for the ads.

  4. Got the Wings at Kings on. 3-0 Detroit at the first intermission. The first two were sixteen seconds apart!

  5. The Wings are up 3-0 IN EL EH? COOL! Let's hope they don't go into self-destruct mode like they have done so often in the recent past...

  7. Yeah, I listened to the game on my Very Expensive Radio after we exchanged comments and got frickin' heartsick, especially with the three injuries the Wings took. Dang.

Just be polite... that's all I ask.
