Our wintry mix has turned into mostly wet, heavy snow. The walkway outside of El Casa Móvil De Pennington is treacherous, to say the very least. I imagine the roads are much the same.

We are scheduled to get something very similar tomorrow. More snow at first - 2-4 inches before it changes.
ReplyDeleteLovely - welcome to winter. The Oracle is already stressing about an early meeting he has tomorrow. I told him this morning if he starts it this early, he'll be a ball of anxiety come March.
Sheesh ... it's just a meeting.
Awww!!! Maybe the pipes won't freeze this time. If they so, just use paper plates and drink more beer!
ReplyDeleteI won't tell you that it's supposed to be 70 here tomorrow. Yuck.
Well... it warmed up, the sun came out and now it's just gale-force winds to contend with. I can deal with that, but on the whole I think I'd rather be in N'Awlins... down at the Acme Oyster Bar. Not that you'd be bad company, Kris... ;-)
ReplyDeleteBuck, whacha got hiding under that tarp? Son #3 (my soldier) is a biker...when he gets back from Ft. Sam Houston, I'm gonna post some photos of his custom job on his Suzuki. (It's a Harley wannabe...but pretty cool).
ReplyDeleteBTW, my condolences on that white junk falling from the sky...just rain here, and finally warming up.
Andy: That would be Miss Zukiko under the tarp. A Suzuki SV-650S, 650cc 90-degree twin sport bike and more fun than the proverbial barrel o' monkeys.
ReplyDeleteCool! Phil's first one was a Suzuki sport bike. Now, I am a true retard on motorcycles, but I'm pretty sure that his is a Suzuki D-50(?) I'm pretty sure it's 850 cc. He custom painted it, put the ape hangers, different pipes...those thingies that you put your feet up on...backrest...
ReplyDeleteIt turns a head or two.
I don't know jack about motorcycles, but it's one neat-looking machine.
My Daddy told me the other day that I ain't old enough to ride one of those things.
I've always had one bike or another hangin' around since I was in my early 20s, except for a ten-year period when I went off 'em due to some clue-free 17-year-old farm girl who tried to kill me in Michigan's Thumb back around 1987 or so. I was lucky to get out of that experience alive: the girl turned left in front of me as I was doing 70 mph on a two-lane road. Totaled the bike and seriously injured a friend who was on the back (and me, albeit less seriously). That sort of thing tends to make you rethink your leisure activities.
ReplyDeleteBut bikes get in your blood, so I got back on one when I ran away from home back in '99. I've lost count of the bikes I've owned; this particular one is a lot of fun. SN1 is a Harley kinda dude, SN2 is into sport bikes like his Ol' Man.
Thanks for the kind words, yet again! I'll be lookin' for a pic of Phil's bike over at your place... :-)
Awwww. Oh, hey, did I mention they've cancelled our winter storm watch? I'm soooooooooo disappointed -- NOT!
ReplyDeleteStill supposed to be rain, just rain, so will be messy, but -- hey, it's not snow, so I'm thrilled.
And it will wash my car off and I don't have to spend the $25 for the car wash!! Whoo-hoo!
Buck, don't let the pipes freeze again! :)
Kath: You dodged a bullet, and that's a great good thing. No freezin' pipes in our immediate future: there's a good trickle comin' out of the kitchen faucet, as we speak.
ReplyDeleteIt rained this morning. The weather man said "possible drizzle." And it is cold. But at least it did not turn to snow.
ReplyDeleteIt's now, at 9:21 pm - minus 12.8 - not humored....
ReplyDeleteLou: I'm glad the snow passed ya by.
ReplyDeleteCynthia: Wow. I feel for ya... seriously. Stay warm.
Soooo -- I take it you must have gone out into the fresh air today? (It's really pretty here, altho slightly soggy!)
ReplyDeleteKath: Yeah... I was out and about for most of the day today. It was a pretty day here, too. Chilly but not bad, all things considered.
