Right Now...

The Brown Truck O' Happiness pulled away about ten minutes ago, after leaving me with this month's shipment of cigars... to wit:

So, here we have yet another episode of "Broadening Our Horizons" where the cigar department is concerned. The Hefeweizen was already in the fridge, but will be uncapped and poured just as soon as I hit "publish." But before I go... I'm pleased to report that Lil Brewery in Shiner, Texas does a MUCH better job at creating a hefeweizen than those folks up in Santa Fe do.

Happy Hour!

  2. I'm pretty sure there's that very same (empty!) box around this house somewhere!

    Cheers!

  5. Geez, that's nice, Buck. I'm hideously hooked on the little tobacco sticks, but cigars are so much classier and inviting. With a good brew, in the cool of the evening... Man, that's living!

  6. A real bummer, later.

I cannot believe that for 27 seconds, the referee's could not count more than five Penguins on the ice.

Hopefully, the other six bottles(I mean five) helped get you through that game.

  7. Kris: You're back! Cool!

    Abe: Thanks.

Moogie: Another Acid fan, eh? I'm wondering if the Partagas folks miss me...

Katy: I got the "Brown Truck" bit from Phlegmmy. I love Shiner's Bock, too... but vary their brews in my inventory every so often.

Buckskins: I most certainly DID. :D

Jim: I used to be seriously addicted to ciggies, as well. Which ain't a good thing, but I'll refrain from preaching. A good cigar is a serious pleasure, indeed.

Darryl: Agreed on all counts. I was feeling pretty good about the game until we failed to score on SO many opportunities after our second goal... and there were many. Crosby said in the post-game presser that he thought the Pens dodged a bullet, and they did. Tomorrow's game will say a LOT about where this series is gonna go.

  9. Lou: I'm sure I've never met a Shiner I didn't like. We just don't get the full range n these parts, tho. When I was in San Antonio a couple of years back I was simply AMAZED at all the varieties they make!

Daphne: I save all those boxes, too. It's getting crowded in here because of it.

  10. I love cigar boxes. My grandfather gave me one once full of old stamps. That was a fun gift!
