You'll have to chase the link to see "the real deal.")As noted above, there are multiple sets at the link, ALL of which are worth viewing, and most especially if you're "of a certain age." Looking at these pics makes me wish I'd saved all those cheesy self-photos I took in those little booths back in the day. Sitting in one of those booths with your Main Squeeze was de rigueur on an outing back in my high-school days... I had hundreds of these things, once upon a time. Ah... "Lost Youth," and all that.
I have one of those sepia-toned photo booth photos stuck in my wallet. Not as old as the ones shown, 1982, of my sister and I at the airport waiting for her flight to take her to boot camp.

ReplyDeleteThe booths were a wonderful thing and I was always bugging my mom for money to go behind the curtain.
They have them now in those horrible entertainment complexes, but they shoot out color pics, with cartoon captions if you like - not the same deal at all.
**Hope you are doing mighty fine, Buck. I've been missing in action for awhile and haven't checked in on my favorite cigar smoker lately. The cat's had my tongue.
