Fat Tire Snow Gauge

Soo... Fat Tire has uses beyond drinking. The bottles, anyhoo. Denver is undergoing a Spring blizzard as we speak and one guy has a GREAT snow gauge.

The whole story is here... with more vids, including an on-foot beer run. These guys are dedicated NB fans!

  1. Didn't Colorado get the memo about Spring... the other day?

    Smart misery index measurer, though.

  2. The beer bottle gauge is funny, but the speaker does not have a great voice.

  3. "Spring blizzard"???

It doesn't seem too much like Spring in these parts either. Maybe soon Al Gore and his enviro weenies will blow away.

At least we learned a good use for our empties.

On a side note, how are you feeling post surgery?

  4. DC: Denver weather is legendary for its capriciousness. A lot of people think that "if you don't like the weather, wait a minute..." thing was invented for them, but it WASN'T. The original thought HAD to come out of Denver.

Lou: I agree with your comment about the narrator, but we ALL can't be Media Stars (ahem). :D

Full disclosure: I got the link to this guy's blog through Twitter (I follow New Belgium on Twitter). I only mention this because they picked up on it and are going to reward the blogger with some NB "love." I could use some of that!!

Buckskins: Agreed on the Algore thing... in SPADES. As for my post-surgery status... it's been rougher than I thought it would be, in that the recovery/healing process has been both slow and uncomfortable. I'm still not even CLOSE to a full-blown Happy Hour yet, but I suppose this all goes with the territory, along with a "this, too, shall pass." Thanks for asking.

Well, now. If my name were Christina or Phlegmmy, I'd just HAVE to do one of their patented "SQUEEEE!" things. But since my name is "Buck," I won't. I AM sorta stoked, tho, even if I don't Tweet all that much of late.
