About which: is a line from SN1's first post about "Life in the Sandbox." Sundays are his one day off each week and he used that time today (in part) to update his blog.
Good On Him... as I'm prone to say. I say it while standing, too. Occasionally.

Buck - Just want you to know I am praying every day for SN1.
ReplyDeleteWe are all so proud of him and his commitment to this country.
God Bless him.
(These are very cool times with email and blogs, etc. allowing you to be in touch with your son regularly. I remember when my son was in Korea on two tours that we had to wait for phone calls or letters.....we've come a long way since the 90s.)
" - as I'm prone to say."
ReplyDeleteYou went exactly where I would have headed with that. Scary.
Balad is where Robert was last year. Some from his unit are there, or at least on the way there, right now. They left here 09/11. I don't know if Robert went this time or not, but SN1 is in my prayers right along with my friends from the 138th in Tulsa.
ReplyDeleteSharon sez: These are very cool times with email and blogs, etc.
ReplyDeleteI have exactly the same thoughts, Sharon. I remember what it was like being deployed in the '70s. Our big excitement was the all too-infrequent MARS calls, about which: half the communications time was spent saying "Over!" or reminding your Honey NOT to forget to say "Over!" That and snail mail... LOTS of snail mail. But today? "I HEART Technology!!!"
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, Sharon.
Jim: That IS scary, Bud! ;-)
Amy: I'll keep the 138th in my prayers, too. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers, as well. Support is important... as you well know.
