Beauteous

It is, quite simply, a beautiful day here at Beautiful La Hacienda Trailer Park, as indicated by this photo I snapped about ten minutes ago. The weather is danged near perfect after two days of rain and an unseasonable chill that kept my furnace cycling throughout the last two nights and half of the days. Yes, we still have a bit of a breeze…but I can live with that. And the rain was wonderful. One of the better aspects of two days worth of rain is Mother Nature’s Own Car Wash, which left El Casa Móvil De Pennington sparkling. Well… not quite sparkling, but a whole Helluva lot cleaner-looking than she was three days ago… which will delay the annual house-washing for a week or three.
And now, Gentle Reader, I’m gonna go get outside in this weather. Coz it’s just like Baby Bear’s porridge: not too hot, not too cold…just right. So I’m gonna go try out my best Goldilocks impression. I’ll be substituting beer and a cigar for the porridge, tho.
Because I can.

  1. That is a LOVELY photograph! Makes me wonder a few things, tho':

Do you usually sit just outside your camper door, or do you sit in the shade of that gorgeous tree?

If and when you ever move, can you fit both the Mazda and the Suzuki on the trailer? If not, what will you do?

  3. Lori: Just outside my door, usually. The photo is deceptive, in that there's not much other than dirt under that tree. Still, I have sat under it socializing with neighbors...when I have neighbors. Right now I don't.

"If and when" is the key phrase in the second question, innit? I'm more or less nailed down here in P-Ville until my dental odyssey is done. Given this lil adventure is gonna last more than a year, that will put me at near seven years in P-Ville. I think I'm here for the duration...

That said, I think both bike and car will fit on the trailer. The previous bike/car combo fit well, and Miss Z ain't much larger than the old bike.

IF they don't and IF I leave... "Allied Van Lines," or someone like 'em, will handle the bike.

Thanks for the positive comment, Ash!

I can handle the 90s... as long as the wind ain't up (so's my awning can be down)!

I hear ya, Dawn. Dirt roads and black vehicles don't go together at ALL! Thanks for the kind comments.

I did just that, Diva...on Friday. Yesterday was rainy and windy yet again, though. I won't complain about the rain... that's a Good Thing. But the wind? Tis another story entirely!

Good on ya, Kris!! You guys have had a loooong, cold winter!

Ditto for what I said to Kris, FF, since both of y'all are in the same neck o' the woods. Close, anyway. ;-)
