They Said It Would Snow...

…and it’s been doing so for the past two hours, albeit lightly. The snow isn’t sticking on the pavement (yet) but the grass, the trees, and the cars have the beginnings of a nice white blanket. It’s great fun to look out the window and watch these small flakes drift down. Which means there’s little or no wind, of course. And that’s a great good thing since it’s (only) 26 degrees outside as I type.
There’ll be no cigars and beer on the verandah today. Or, in other words: Brrr!

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, Buck!
Brrrr is right, it dropped into the 40's last night here, I'm such a weather wimp. I'll have that beer for you :)

  2. I thought I'd take a break from the football and pecan pie and read a few blogs.

It is hard to believe that it was 80 degrees on Wed. Now it is cold and snowing. Actually, it is not snowing in WF, but it is pretty cold. I bought a variety case of Shiner beer for the T-Day crowd. It was a big hit. Made me think of you and hope you were having a nice day.

Verification word: bdork - sometimes I feel like a bdork.

  5. Happy thanksgiving all. I'll not mention the snow because I'd have to put in a plug for Florida and I know y'all don't like it when I say how nice the weather is. :)

  6. I'm envious Buck! Although, it did turn cold here today and I'm sure there will be snow in the Tennessee hills tonight!

I miss the snow...must be global warming!

  7. Well, in the end it doesn't appear that we got too much snow this Thanksgiving day. It started when we left the house about 8:30 this morning. Didn't stick in Lubbock, either. Well, there are still the hopes of Friday and Saturday. LOL!

  8. Happy Thanksgiving!

What sam said about the weather...did the same thing snow wise here yesterday. Would be nice for it to get real cold and dump 6-7 inches of snow on campus before break...ISU's campus looks especially nice in the snow.

  9. I hope all y'all had a great T-Day!

As for that snow... it was gone two hours after I snapped those pics. We hit our high temp for the day (39) and the snow just went. Today, however, is quite another story. Looks like there's an inch or more on the ground and it's cold outside...

I'm watching College Gameday, being broadcast from KC, as we speak...and it looks cold! You might get your snow, Towanda!
