So.

1646 hrs. and here I sit by my window watching the sun sink below the horizon. Sunset is officially at 1701 hrs. today.

I don't like standard time.

  1. Toby's comment: Leave it to the government to decide to extend the daylight when the days are already long. Then just when you could use a little daylight as you get home from work, they stop the daylight savings time and everything is dark when you get off work.

  3. Me neither! The kids will only have about 45 minutes of daylight when they get home from school (we get out at almost 4). I will send them out to play as soon as they get home, and can do their homework afterwards. Thank goodness we don't ride the bus. They would be on it for an hour and would get home at dark!

  4. But my kids are still waking at the same time...only now it's 0430.

  5. I see I'm not alone!! Well, all things considered...it could be worse! Didja know China only has one time zone for the whole frickin' country? Those links above are for Beijing and Lhasa, Tibet. The sun sets at 1707 hrs in Beijing and 1905 hrs in Lhasa, with sunrise at oh-dark-thirty in Beijing and mid-morning (I exaggerate only a little) in Lhasa...

    Ah...those Crazy ChiComs!
