Saturday: They Love Him In Hockeytown

From last night's game at The Joe:

That demonstration brought a tear to my eye.  We love him here in P-Ville, as well.

Oh, yeah... there was a game, too.  The Wings beat the reigning Stanley Cup champions like a step-child, winning 5-2.

LGRW!

  2. Buck, I do not have an email for you. Here is the video from Gordie's house watching the tribute.

    1. Thanks, Rummy. I saw the Gordie vid earlier this morning when George Malik tweeted it.

  3. I think he was the only NHL player I had any awareness of until 1960, when one of the networks finally started televising a game of the week on Saturday afternoons.

    1. You knew of him long before I did, whichever year it was. I saw my very first hockey game in 1977 in Tokyo (of all places) and my first NHL game when I moved to Dee-troit in 1985. I was a late bloomer.
