We're Procrastinating Again, With Good Reason

I should be on my horse and out to Cannon Airplane Patch for to pick up meds awaiting me at the pharmacy, renew the booze stockage, and make a commissary run, but I just don't feel like getting out in the maelstrom.  While it's warm enough outdoors the overall conditions just aren't very nice out there, to wit:

That's the steady wind-speed, Gentle Reader, we're gusting to 37 mph and there are times when it feels like those gusts go on forever.  We shall defer our trip out to the base for another day, most likely tomorrow.

So, how does our wind measure up on the Beaufort Scale?  See for yerself:

Our gusts indicate a "moderate gale" and the trees most definitely ARE in motion.  We're thinkin' about whether Happy Hour will be an al fresco affair today; chances are very good that it won't.

Update, a lil bit later:  Well, there's this:

Aiiieee.  That puts us in "strong gale" territory.  I guess we'll just batten down the hatches.

    1. Yeah, it was balmy, indeed. I actually did Happy Hour on the verandah yesterday, even with the light breeze.
