Cool. And Not Even CLOSE To Cool.

In re: the post title.  Can ya guess which is which?  Sometimes I think there's justification for infanticide.

  1. I wonder... If I'd been able to afford a Rolls when I was twenty (and an E-5) if I might still be driving it.
The Rolls and the Bentley have always been my dream cars.

    1. See what ya coulda done with that big-ass reenlistment bonus? I spent mine on a Chevelle SS396. ;-)

(PS: The SS was MY dream car... at the time.)

    2. I had a big block detroit iron until the oil embargo, then I went british wire wheels. The only problem with the british 2-seaters, was that you always needed a motel, and couldn't just rampage in the back seat... Course that wouldn't be a problem now, since the only rampage I see is getting up to make my morning coffee.

    3. @Dream: I went Japanese after the embargo... bought a Mazda rotary, which was the WORST gotdamned car I ever owned in terms o' reliability. The thing blew three motors in three years time... Mazda didn't quite have that Wankel thing worked out yet.

      And Hey! My coffee's ready!

    1. It ain't enough to buy a Rolls, that's fer shure. My timing was pretty good, though... I was one of the very first to get a VRB, and I was a VRB-4, too. I think it amounted to four and a half Large, half up front and the remainder in annual installments. That was a good chunk o' change in 1967.

    1. That was my point... exactly... about infanticide, even 18 or 20 years after the fact.
