I LOVE it when Thanksgiving rolls around, in part be'coz o' this:
We bought a gallon o' egg nog a couple few days ago, most o' which will be consumed in the manner you see above. Our principal objective, aside from the "tastes great" aspect, is to put a couple o' few pounds on our thin frame. I can't think of a BETTER way to do that, Gentle Reader. Can you?
And now it's back to the hockey game... Tampa Bay and Dee-troit, for first place in the Atlantic Division.

ReplyDeleteThat it IS!
DeleteChristmas at my house is always at least six or seven times more pleasant than anywhere else. We start drinking early. And while everyone else is seeing only one Santa Claus, we’ll be seeing six or seven. — W.C. Fields, Ah yessss...
ReplyDeleteOl' WC got a lot o' things right.
DeleteThe Oracle loves Egg Nog; I am not a fan. Just has no appeal to me whatsoever. That said - I'll have to mention to The Oracle about the, ahem, additive. He'd like that.
ReplyDeleteI like egg nog either straight OR modified... depending mostly on the time o' day. ;-)
DeleteJoyce likes egg nog and said she'll be getting her first quart this week. She has to take it straight now, although in the bygone days... Last week I bought her some new egg nog flavored creamer for her coffee which she likes a lot (unusual because she normally drinks it black). As for me, I never really developed a taste for it. But I love the season and having nog around is part of the whole shebang.
ReplyDeleteI think it's too bad we can't get egg nog all year round. I suppose I could break out the blender and make my own but that just seems like too much trouble. Besides that, the only liquids my blender has ever seen is a mixture o' tequila, triple sec, and lime juice. ;-)
