We're in the mood for some old-school funk today...
So, here we are: out on the verandah, enjoying a warm breezy day, beer and cigar close at hand and listenin' to the Isley Bros. tell me to do what I wanna do. Well, OK, then... we shall do just that.
Did I say it was warm and breezy?
Why... yes, I DID. It's mah-vel-ous outdoors, simply mah-vel-ous.

ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten this. Catchy tune and tag. Popular music seems to always pick up on those phrases that spread through the youth culture. I can't remember the first time I heard the expression, "do your thing," but I do remember that it got irritating pretty quick.
ReplyDeleteYou're right about the irritating bit, Dan. I'm glad that phrase is passé.
DeleteIt is a catchy tune - makes me want to dance around. Desafortunadamente, it is early, so I turned it off.
ReplyDeleteBut... but... it's NEVER too early to dance!
DeleteMas cafe' por favor.
DeleteThe Isleys! One of the best guitar solos of all time was on "Who's That Lady?" Never fails to get me in a good mood.
ReplyDeleteI love these guys.
