This is arguably the best time of year to visit here, Lou. The weather has taken a turn for the better in that it's cool and much less humid. The downside is I didn't pack a jacket or a sweatshirt... I had to borrow a sweatshirt from SN1 last evening to sit out on the deck comfortably.
I actually LIKE that drive, Curt. I'm still finding the trees fascinating, given the fact we don't HAVE trees like that back home. The traffic is much lighter on US 1/17 and The Tart does have XM... so we were Happy Campers Friday.
The East's loss is the West's gain.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could make it out this way! Also glad you enjoyed your time with SN1, SN2 and their families.
Still enjoying that "family time," as we speak. I keep threatening to stay here... and they keep encouraging me to stay. Imagine that.
DeleteTake your time and enjoy yourself and the view. After years of reading "Southern Living," I would love to drive through some of those Suth'n places.

DeleteSafe trip, enjoy yourself and drive.
ReplyDeleteThank ya, Sir.
DeleteThat particular drive sucks. Nothing but trees after the bridge until Richmond and then nothing at all. 3 radio stations, I hope the new tart has XM.
